About CILT
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is the leading International Professional body for all sectors of the Transport and Logistics Industry. Founded in the United Kingdom in 1919 and granted a Royal Charter on the 26th of November, 1926, the CILT was established to promote knowledge of the science and art of Logistics and Transport and to provide a source of authoritative views for communication to government, industry and the community at large. The CILT International headquarters is in the United Kingdom charged with the function of finance and administration while CILT Hong Kong and CILT Republic of Ireland are in charge of membership and education respectively.

The Conference

The conference marks an important milestone in the roadmap towards achieving sustainable innovations in global logistics and transport operations with Africa in focus. This highly interactive event will provide information and working sessions on sustainable innovations in logistics and transport operations both in Africa and globally. It will also provide an opportunity to refine commitments of actions and pledges from key stakeholders.
The conference will be hosted by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Nigeria and about 350 participants are expected. The 2022 Annual General meeting (AGM) shall take place with exhibitions of transportation and logistics products from cognate industries and sectors.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the CILT 2023 National Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Nigeria (CILTN) holding from Monday, 27 November 2023 to Tuesday, 28 November 2023 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lagos. With the theme, “Sustainable Innovations in Global Logistics and Transport”, this year’s Conference keys into the global conversation about sustainability principles in how businesses, in particular, the logistics and transport sector are conducted. Dear 2023 CILT Delegates and Participants, on behalf of entire members of the CILT Conference Planning Committee (CPC), I have the pleasure to welcome you to Lagos for the 2023 conference of CILT, Nigeria. The CILT annual conference is the most important event for members of all categories as well as for researchers in the field to transport within and outside the country. Annually and for several years, the CILT conference attracts industrial sector operators, private and public partners of transport corporations, researchers from tertiary institutions in the field of transport around the country, and provides opportunities to share ideas and research outputs from the wide diversity of transport and logistics related topics. Last year, 2022, the CILT conference also hosted in Lagos attracted over 500 delegates from within and outside the country and for the first time the CILT conference ushered in and attracted top researchers in the field of transport and logistics within the country.
